Joan Morell, Owner.

Joan is the owner of Black Dog Bakehouse. She has always loved being around animals and found herself leaving her systems analyst profession behind to pursue her passion. She received her obedience certification in 2002 and her grooming certification in 2004. Joan is also a Healing Touch for Animals Practitioner and enjoys the energy work with the animals. Joan is passionate about working and being around animals. “Our animals have so much to teach us about life and unconditional love if we just stop and listen”.

Joan has a Computer Science Degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. She is a certified obedience instructor, professional groomer and a Healing Touch for Animals Practitioner.  She is currently studying to become a clinical pet nutritionist.
